Blast Away are a small company (and are happy to stay that way) operating modern plant and equipment enabling us to keep quality and reliability as paramount. All operators hold current IPAF certification to operate hydraulic access equipment and hold current CSCS cards and all operatives are very experieanced in all blasting techniques.
Since trading we have encountered every possible scenario regarding blast cleaning, pressure washing and chemical cleaning, whether it is the sensitive cleaning of fragile stonework or the powerful grit blasting of heavily rusted steelwork.
Although we have the knowledge and experience to carry out just about any blast cleaning project, the majority of our work tends to be on sensitive projects eg. listed buildings where we remove paint from ancient oak beams, brickwork and stone. We tend to specialise in this area as the end results are especially rewarding.
Another large part of our work is on green oak structures where we are employed by many of the green oak companies to blast clean the erected structure removing all the machining marks, water marks and tanning marks to leave as one uniform clean colour.
We use many different types of blasting media and will use whatever media necessary to achieve the best results.
