These are green oak beams and floor joists on a new build property in Great Shefford near Lambourn Berkshire where the green oak being very acidic, has reacted with the metal of the machine blades to leave dark stains.

Blastaway were asked by a local builder to blast clean a new green oak internal roof structure.

The building process usually leaves machining marks as well as some water stains and tannin marks.

These show up on the timber and are unsightly so blast cleaning removes all the marks to leave a clean uniform appearance.
